CLUB REQUIREMENTS

Number of Lessons Required

Before being assessed for grading

(do not presume that just because you have done a number of sessions that you will automatically be grading)

10th kup = 12 lessons +1 sport tkd

9th kup = 15 lessons + 1 sport tkd

8th to 5th kup = 20 lessons +2 sport tkd

4th to 3rd kup = 40 lessons + 6 senior lessons +2 sport tkd

2nd kup = 40 lessons + 6 senior lessons +2 sport tkd

1st kup = 40 lessons + 6 senior lessons +2 sport tkd

Preoccupation with advancement is a manifestation of the self-important ego,and that is something the practice of Tae Kwon-Do attempts to suppress; it is only when the ego is diminished that you can truly behave without self-interest that your skills will truly develop.

THE FOLLOWING POINTS SHOULD DE CONSIDERED WHEN

PERFORMING PATTERNS:

Patterns should begin and end on the same spot. This will indicate the performers accuracy.

Correct posture and facing must be maintained at all times.

Muscles of the body should be tensed or relaxed at the proper critical moments in the pattern.

The pattern should be performed in a rhythmic movement with the absence of stiffness.

Each pattern should be accelerated or decelerated according to instructions.

Each pattern should be perfected before moving to the next.

Students should know the purpose of each movement.

Students should perform each movement with realism.

TRAINING TWICE A WEEK

if you only train once a week then these times will be doubled

10th kup to 9th kup = 3months

9th kup to 8th kup = 3months

8th kup to 7th kup = 3months

7th kup to 6th kup = 3months

6th kup to 5th kup = 3months

5th kup to 4th kup = 3months

4th kup to 3rd kup = 6months

3rd kup to 2nd kup = 6months

2nd kup to 1st kup = 6months

1st kup to 1st Dan = 6months

Remember that these time are a guide

and grading is decided by the instructor

not the student
