I am a student of a Korean Martial Art form known as Tae Kwon Do; this is a very popular martial art practiced throughout the world and is a recognised Olympic sport.
I started practising Tae Kwon Do as an adult in my early twenties, I joined the TAGB and subsequently joined the Anglia academy which has experienced instructors and masters with a wealth of knowledge who were able to help and guide me throughout my journey of training.
I think Tae Kwon Do is a fulfilling martial art to embrace and train in as the reward from training and dedication will result in a remarkable effect in life. Every student, instructor and master must endeavour to live their life and train according to the five tenets of Tae Kwon Do which are Courtesy, Perseverance, Integrity, Self-control, and Indomitable-spirit this in turn will lead to a more complete life, one of trueness, high standards and morals.
As a Student and now a Teacher I will continue to develop and master a life Times worth of training in Tae Kwon Do.
I have entered four competitions in total consisting of Regional and National tournaments during training and currently hold the TAGB Midlands championships silver medals for sparring on two separate occasions in the middle weight category and an English Sparring championships bronze medal.
I have gained invaluable experience from a wide variety of martial arts including Boxing, Aikido, Systema and various forms of Yoga and Tai Chi. I still train in these disciplines and have an open mind to new ideas, new ways of thinking and continue to develop myself and others.
I am at the forefront of Cambridgeshire Tae Kwon-Do self defence classes and have experience in knife and weapon work.
I have achieved Reiki Part 1 and currently endeavouring to participate in Reiki Part 2.
